The Return

In the year 2020, magic returned to the world. Violently. After millennia sealed away, the inherent magic of the world returned in a singular, violent incident. Humanity was revealed as nothing but a curse laid upon the races of old, and the whole world's population violently and painfully re-assumed the true forms of their souls - fantastic creatures spanning from dwarves to lizardfolk. The return of magic wrought devastation upon the world, forests springing up in the matter of seconds; massive magically-charged volcanic eruptions, mountains rising into the air, and climates changing entirely.   It's been four hundred years since. The world is a changed place. New cultures have formed, mostly upon racial lines. Life is harsh and unforgiving, but not entirely bleak. New trailblazers are emerging as the peoples of the world finally rise from the ashes. It's the beginning of an age of rebuilding in a very, very different world; the Reborn world.
