The Brief War

Known in Guild circles as 'The Brief War Between Two Sets of Idiots Who Cannot Speak To Each Other Like Adults,' or more simply The Brief War, this conflict lasted almost three months and only ended after the interference of a third party.
At some point, we realized exactly how stupid their fight was and were like, 'Why. Why are you like this,' a common feeling when dealing with the Yellows, but not so much with the Greaters. At that point we knew we had to get involved, because this Greater in particular was stubborn, even more so then Dwiere about their prices.
— From a member of the 'third-party'
The Brief War was between two Adventurers' Guilds in Eoselyn, The Sunrisers and Greater Hellspring, both well-known in the Realm and with some influence in the connected Realms. The conflict was started when a member of The Sunrisers accidentally stole a hunt from a member of Greater Hellspring. As these two members had been in conflict for quite some time, this was considered the last straw for them.   How their conflict ended up encompassing both Guilds, to the point where battle lines had to be draw, is currently unknown, as no one is willing to explain how it got so out of hand. However, the end of the War is well documented. A member of a third Guild, called Treant Greens, returned from a out-of-Realm mission and shed some light on why the two were fighting.   It turned out that it was the Sunrisers' form of courting the Hellspring, in line with Demon courting practices mashed with Elven practices, which do not meld well, and the Hellspring misunderstanding their intentions, as they were Phoenixian. Upon learning of their conflict, the Treant forced the two to talk, acting as a translator, as they had spent quite some time in both Ashirion and Phasmye and were able to convey their intentions.
