Sign of the Eclipse

It is not a well-known fact, but many are displeased by the current ruling body of the Angel Realm. They are so displeased, in fact, that there are rumors of a secret rebellion in the Realm. They use a great many ways to communicate, but their most important symbol is that of the eclipse.
To paint the sign of the eclipse on walls and storefronts is common, as it is the sign of their god, but as the disquiet grew, they began to take the symbol for themselves and change how it was seen. To paint the symbol bold on your house or store was to say that you supported the rebels, while well hidden symbols in carvings and painting spread the message.
Not only is it the symbol of the rebellion, but to demand it removed goes against the laws, as the only one who can decide when to remove the symbol is the one who painted it. By taking it as their symbol, the rebellion prevented the ruling body from silencing those who are angry, while showing them just how many there are in the Realm.
As the rebellion spread, so did the symbol. Those in other Realms who supported the rebellion also painted it on their shops and houses in solidarity of their fight. Some go so far as to offer the rebels supplies when the government cracks down on false charges in order to try and silence the dissidents. To wear the sign of eclipse is to try and invoke their god to show their displeasure with the ruling body while also tossing it in the face of the ruling body that the wearer is a member of the rebellion and nothing can be done about it.
