The Domhanar Mountains
'We protect the world from the giants. Domhanar stands as a bastion to protect the lush lands beyond. So our goddess wills it.' - Ermdor Stoneaxe, guardianThe Domhanar Mountains are the largest mountain range in all of Ratha, and the ancestral home of the dwarves. While there is little to be seen on the surface, beneath the mountains lie an endless network of tunnels, cities, and mines, the remnants of the Dwarven Underkingdom, which once spanned underground tunnels as far out from the mountains as Pyandonaea. The Mountains act as a barrier between the Land of Giants and the rest of the world, and the dwarves uphold a sacred oath to the goddess Domhan to hold the giants at the fortress-like mountian range, and protect the rest of the world from their unending rage. Still, no matter how many dwarves are there to stop them, they still seem to slip through here and there. It is also the home of the Dwarven Clans, a loose arrangement of clans that act as largely independent political entities.
