Althea Grissini

Overview

Althea Grissini is the late ex-lover of Alwyn Ailerion and the mother of Illethia. Bright and ambitious, she spent much of her youth aspiring to become the next Astral Scholar, a renowned position given only to the most powerful sorcerer in Astrea. With such a title, she hoped to satisfy her intellectual curiosity by expanding her research towards the relationship between magic and the World Tree. However, Althea was more or less a romantic, and her relationship with Alwyn frequently conflicted with her aspirations. When the opportunity to fulfill her dreams arose, she was forced to abandon it altogether due to her unexpected pregnancy to Illethia. Believing she had failed her purpose in life, this is something she constantly regretted, even more so when Alwyn left her and her daughter after their marriage deteriorated. As such, Althea lived her remaining years in mediocrity, passing away three years ago. This caused Illethia to move in with her father at the Red Reverie.

"Astral Scholar, a renounced position"   I believe you want renowned rather than renounced here. Renown is fame, to renounce is to reject.   I'd love to read more about her relationship with her daughter and how it impacted both of them.
