Protanoiran

The Protanorian is the name given to a pantheon of 12 different Archy Fey who ruled over Mirkwood in the 1st Age. These Arch Fey alongside their subjects shaped Mirkwood into their home throughout the 1st Age, until it had been transformed into a little piece of the Feywild in the Reach. Mirkwood is still littered with signs and sigils of the Protoanorians, and it was these markings that revealed the existence of the Protanorians. Since the early days of the 2nd Age, Anorians have worshipped their homelands ancestors, and sought their advice on how they should rebuild the mighty empire that they inherited. There are dozens of different Protanorians, but only twelve of them serve as the deities for the Eladrin Court. These twelve Archy Fey have changed overtime, but as far as the mortal followers of this Pantheon know, there is no way from them to change who sits on the council, and no way to stop someone from being removed.

Culture

The Protanorians were a small class of monarchs living on the material plane in the 1st age, but since they were removed from the material plane the Protanorians set out to rule their homeland of the Feywild. When their spiritual decedents, the Anorians, discovered who the Protoanorians were a strong relationship between the two formed fast. This fledgling society in the dawn of the 2nd Age was searching for guidance, and the Protanorians were happy to give it if it meant they would gain the faith and trust of these new people. This relationship has only grown stronger overtime, as the worship the Protanorians receive the more they can rule over their homeland, and the more power they can return to their loyal subjects.

Cosmological Views

Inside of the Feywild, the Protoanorians rule over vast swaths of land, and have maintained the alliance they held with one another on the material plane. Each of the twelves Arch Fey are apart out a seasonal court that is tied with their essence, forming; the summer, winter, spring, and fall courts. Rulership over the alliance is passed between these four courts, based on which seasons is most powerful in the Feywild. Unlike the Reach, in the Feywild all four seasons are occurring simultaneously all through the land. This means that certain courts can rule for hundred sor thousands of years if their season remain strongest throughout their reign.

Granted Divine Powers

No one Protanorian doles out their gifts the same way. Some allow for the random nature of the arcane to gift mortals with power for no purpose or reason, while others are meticulous in who they grant power, choosing to only grant power to those they believe have earned it. This means that the different segments of the Eladrin Court are dedicated to cultivating followers of each of the twelve, but these sects are not are uniformed size.
