Lady Nymira Fenfyx

Daughter to Archmage Cyrus Nymira of House Conjuration of Val'ul, Nymira was instrumental in the death of Kourend Salmonpuddle, though she did not desire it. She perished at Dusk after a wish goes awry and turned her into an abomination.
The tale of misunderstanding went as such. Nymira was tired of the politics of her home city, and seeing that her father was preparing her to take his place on the council, she felt she was to be stuck in the city permanently. She wanted to travel the world, but societal demands were weighing upon her. That is when she met Tomias Flitterfoot, a private eye from Felicity. She quickly became infatuated with his free spirit, and him with her own lust for adventure. They planned to elope, secretly meeting up in the town of Vigil to do so.
Nymira, as a noble, went to Vigil with her guard, and rented out a private nook for the rendezvous. She left a message with the Evermore halfling refugees outside to direct a gnome coming from the south in her direction. This is when the misunderstanding occurred. The halflings did their task, but they relayed the message to the wrong gnome, giving it to Kourend Salmonpuddle, who as a ranger in those years was simply coming into town to resupply. Kourend's visit here ushered in his rise and fall in Tumult history.
Kourend went to visit Nymira, not knowing who was sending for him. As a fallen noble and someone who got caught up in an incident at the local inn, Kourend was on edge. Nymira quickly saw that he was not Tomias and inquired if Kourend knew of him. Kourend wanted to get the heat off of himself, and simply lied, telling Nymira that Tomias perished. This saddened her greatly, but she believed him. Later, Kourend came upon Tomias and double downed on the lie, informing him that Nymira as passed. Added to this, the whole conflict at Vigil with the Dormant made the lie seem legitimate, and neither of the lovers stumbled upon each other to end the charade. Thus, Kourend started a drama he could not seem to escape.
Later, after Kourend became one of the heroes of Vigil, he and Nymira met once more at the Felicity Ball. They did travel together to Felicity and had some interactions in Crossroads together, but Kourend endeavored to leave contact at a minimum. He did not want his lie to be known. But at the Felicity Ball, it seemed that fate worked to punish Kourend for his actions. The unaware Nymira who was trying to befriend Kourend, asked him to dance. And while they did so, Tomias witnessed it, learning both that Nymira was alive and that the liar who taught him otherwise was making moves on her. Tomias came to the worst conclusions after seeing this, and began looking for ways to get pay back. Kourend was now a hero with a retinue of powerful adventurers at his side, so he needed a power to match.
But that is Tomias' tale. Nymira was blissfully unaware of the brewing conflict. After the ball, she was called back to Val'ul since their representatives in Felicity were murdered. There she returned to her mundane life prepping to become the archmage of Conjuration. The only motivation she had at the time was directed at keeping the Paraclete of Uz from getting council votes to try her plan to summon an Uzite lieutenant. She met Kourend one time in these months after the ball, but only asked him for help with Prince Bedrich's disappearance, trusting that smarter heads would prevail in Val'ul about the situation with Vox.
Smarter heads did not prevail, and Lord Fenfyx did not want Nymira around for whatever would happen. But Nymira would not stand to be sent off to safety while her people suffered. So, she was given a quest to study the conjurations happening at Dusk, and hopeful helping Tumult with the Demon Troubles. Lord Fenfyx thought this a good compromise, not knowing that it would be the death of her.
While in Dusk, she stumbled upon Kourend once more, but no longer sought his friendship. She was aiding the locals with their fight against the demons when Tomias' revenge plan began. Tomias found a genie and used the three wishes he got from it to defeat Kourend and get Nymira back. The wishes backfired, turning the unaware and innocent Nymira into an abomination that had to be put down. Thus ended the unfortunate story of Nymira Fenfyx, victim to Kourend's lies and Tomias' jealousy.

She was mortal frenemies with Lady Sofia Mirabel before her death.
She attempted to become friends with Kourend Salmonpuddle after meeting him by chance at Vigil. But her attempts were spurned by Kourend frequently, so she gave up when they met again in Val'ul.
She was about to elope with Tomias Flitterfoot, but a misunderstanding prevented that connection when they planned to meet up at Vigil. She thought he was dead until his return with a genie in Dusk.
