Gloranna Briarfell
Gloranna Briarfell was a creation and character of Joshua Dale Harman.
She was a half-elf warlock from the Dormant Lands who travelled north with the Dormant Advance, was captured after the failed attack on Vigil, died and was resurrected in Crossroads to great harm to the Veritian Leaf, corrupted by Asmodeus and subsequently exorcised in Felicity, fought in the Frozen war and assassinated King Iscalon the Fourth. She was tried and sentence to life at the Gladden Falls Asylum for the Criminally Insane which has gone silent since her arrival. King Bredich as tasked a group of experts to go to the facility and retrieve her.
Once retrieved, Bedrich made a deal with the broken warlock for her loyalty, promising her the freedom of her home from the Dormant. She was made a general in the Tumult army, but she was not sent into combat until they got her full potential tapped from her resurrection years ago, connecting her with the part of dragon, celestial, fey, demon, and Neih itself that was within her. While they were never able to fully manifest those powers within her into the real world, they were able to utilized psychic methods perfected in the Gladden Falls Asylum for the Criminally Insane to trap targets in a psychic trap that gives Gloranna full power over her trauma. She then fought in the conflicts in Fast and against Summer insurrectionists, but never was able to return to the Dormant Lands. In 1051, she was tasked to defend Bedrich against the Sovereign People's of Neih's forces. She died doing so.

Personal history
Born in the Dormant Lands, Gloranna was the fifth child of seven in a noble family. Mostly neglected, she grew attached to her younger twin brother, Navaren. She was raised in what was left of high society in the Dormant Lands, where her family among others have held out after years of cult rule. As a half-elf with little prospects, her family sent her to Seer’s Sight, having connection with the Fey Researchers there. Navaren gave her a mechanical canary in a gnomish lamp to remember him by. There, she learned the ways of the warlock, choosing the Archfey Titania of the Summer Court as her patron.
One day, during her rituals, an “accident” occurred where her soul was linked with a fey named Polly from the opposite side of the leaf. Polly was leaving this leaf via the Fey Entrance after scandalously setting the Duke of Oriaphia’s crown on fire. She believed she had no place left on this leaf, but somehow got permanently stuck to a lesser being who cannot leave. The two of them now wrestle for control of the body they now share.
Returning home after years of study (mainly to exorcise Polly), she finds her family in mourning, as her brother Navaren was dead. Dejected at the loss, she devoted herself to figuring out a way to save him. She heard that the Dormant Cult had ways to resurrect the dead, so she joined up in secret. They promised many things to her, so she fought for.
After fighting in the Battle of the Glade and the Infiltration of Evermore, she grew impatient at the withheld promises. She grew tired of the senseless bloodshed and hoped it would bear fruit soon. She vowed to herself that the attack on Vigil would be her last unless they showed her some reason for her service. The attack on Vigil proved a failure, and Gloranna was captured.
As a prisoner, Gloranna quickly became a turncoat, joining the party that escorted her to Felicity. What truly cemented their connection was her death and resurrection at Crossroads, which proved to her that it was possible to save her brother. And when their business in Crossroads put them in contact with Asmodeus due to the Demon Troubles, she made a poor deal with the devil for an illusion of her brother. This curse gave Asmodeus a foothold in her mind, adding to the competition that was already present with Polly.
Her error in trusting Asmodeus proved a problem for her and her new friends. While arriving at Felicity for the 1040 annual ball, Gloranna had a series of misadventures caused by that devil. One, he possessed her to kill some Val'ulian emissaries, hindering diplomatic relations with that city-state and Tumult. Two, she slaughtered a group of hidden fey. Three, she attacked the Neih's Breath entertainment troupe, an act that caused Gloranna's party to kill the leader Tommy Drummer. These events created a need for an exorcism. The group enlisted the help of local Hahlian and Mineosian clergy to expel the curse upon Gloranna. They succeeded, expelling Asmodeus' influence.
While in Felicity, Gloranna made friends with the Val'ul Resistance League led by the Van Hydens. Not much came of that relationship, except that it helped expose the Uzite influence in the following Dance Incident.
Gloranna later fought in the Frozen War helping to defeat the Walking Fortress. She was not involved in the final killing of the Child of Frit, but she still was considered a hero on her return to Felicity. That is when King Iscalon the Fourth sprung his trap on her and her friends. She killed king Iscalon, and was thus sentenced to life at the Gladden Falls Asylum for the Criminally Insane, as her behavior at the trial was less than sane.
King Bedrich later got a hold of the warlock, using her as a powerful weapon in exchange for promises of freedom for her land and the potential revival of her brother Navaren. She would see neither, dying in combat.

Motivation
Her motivations were to find a way to bring her twin brother Navaren back to life. This caused her to ally with some fairly nefarious causes, and giving a pathway for Asmodeus to enter Neih.
