Personal history
Raised in the Southern Farmlands region, Cassius moved to Break on the cusp of adulthood to look for work and adventure. He joined the Greenscale Hunters in 987 and spent a decade as a guard to Sistern's Lair. This was already in the waning years of the guild, so pay was not great, and the only threats Cassius ever fought were pesky kobolds and bandit yuan-ti. Thus, after his second stint at Sistern, he gather a party of hunters and went on a dragon hunt. For 25 years, he travelled with this party, and successfully slew a couple dragons and several other beasts. Then old age crept in, and he retired in Tumult. He was planning to return to Break and join the Greenscale hunters in the defense against the Dormant, but unfortunately stumbled upon a greater threat to the order, Kourend Salmonpuddle. Their first meeting in Crossroads, Cassius had to retreat, as he was outnumbered. But he tracked down the gnome and his dragon pet in Felicity with a squad of greenscale hunters and set an ambush. The ambush failed and Cassius was slain.
Morality & Philosophy
Like many of the Greenscale Hunters, Cassius followed the Hunter's Code which is loosely based of Frittian doctrine. They place a large importance on stoicism, discipline, perseverance and sacrifice to work.
