Bear Rainweb

Bear Rainweb is a sparrowman (male fairy) who sits on the council of Silihadran. He is the youngest member, having been given a position after his invention and monopoly of black powder has revolutionized the world. He has strong connections with the gith and other cosmic sugar mining industries such as the Ambershards of Tumult and the Rockharvests of the Bludgeon Halls. He is a capitalist at the core, and is on the way to becoming the wealthiest individual on the Veritian Leaf.

Special abilities

Rainweb has inherited an ability to plane travel through a technique called Crawstep. While this is not a well-known quality of his, he has used it to great affect in making allies and gathering information. Only members of his fairy family know the fey magic behind it, but it is theorized that it is an offshoot of Dormant magics. The Rainweb's disavow this claim, but there are eerie similarities. Many of Rainweb's family thus work in Seer's Sight studying this phenomenon, and one was sent to Tumult in the Gloranna mission.

Rainweb is not much liked by the other members of the council of Silihadran, especially Brighid who dislikes the environmental cost of Bear's industry. But he was a populist leader, chosen by the smaller fey species to represent them in the face of rising influence of Tuatha, Furbolgs, hags and winter worshippers.

Wealth & Financial state

Bear has a monopoly on black powder and is heavily invested in the cosmic sugar industry. He also secretly holds a majority share in the Seer's Sight tower, having his own department in that tower of warlocks. Since the fey do not have the most robust economy, Rain has acquire large amounts of wealth through proxies in the realms of the Lesser Races. If someone has black powder, he probably somewhat in the pocket of Bear.
