Bark of Neih

The Bark of Neih is a piece of the bark of the cosmic tree whose connection remains intact to Neih despite being physically separated. The artifact carries heavy amounts of life giving energy, able to heal even continental leaves. Thus the one on the Veritian Leaf is highly sought after by the Dormant Cult, having lost it to a fellow named Nedei. It is currently buried with the prophet Frillith in Fey Banquet.

Significance

Its life giving essence is much sought after by spirits of Spring and Summer, and opposed by spirits of Fall and Winter. It is a useful connection to Neih directly, and gives perks to its holder. Carries fey and druidic qualities.

The bark is fairly rare, as simply tearing bark from the cosmic tree is not enough to garner its power. Neih must give it willingly. The Bark of Neih that is currently on the Veritian Leaf was given to an orc branch wanderer chieftain a millennia prior (approximately when the Lesser Races arrived on the Veritian Leaf). It travelled with those orcs until the Dormant general Tash claimed it from them. He arrogantly carried it in the assault on Break, where he misplaced it. A breakian deserter named Nedei found it while he fled north to Tumult where it eventually came into the hands of the prophet Frillith. She had it on her when she perished in the Frozen War, and the fey who reclaimed her body left the bark on her when she was buried.
