Archmage Stormchapel

Archmage Stormchapel was the last head of House Illusion of the city of Val'ul. He took over the seat from the previous head of Illusion through popular demand. House Illusion was a fading seat in the council, with talks of having House Necromancy taking the seat in the late 10th century. People looked at the house as a joke, a place for tricksters and cons, and not serious mages. That was until Stormchapel arrived, a prominent illusionist of decent pedigree. He held the seat until the Fall of Val'ul, where he vanished with the city to the museum of Tid Navarande.   Secretly, Lord Stormchapel was not from Val'ul. He was a Eternal Empire informant who infiltrated the city and stole the name Stormchapel. It was one of the most magical locations on the Veritian Leaf, so the Eternal Empire monitored it for potential threats. Stormchapel even produced a sizable mechanic army to confront the mages if things went awry. He opposed the summoning of Resentment for that reason, and was working to detonate the entire city with a Tuthian Marble when he got caught in the temporal bubble.

He had a brief contact with the assassin Malvo, as he saw potential in him. He was planning on potentially recruiting him to the cause of the Eternal Empire.
