Aleesia Dharkness was a child of the Dakath elven magicians who moved to Draught in the Veritian Dark Ages. She founded the Dharkness Hunters after the planar disaster and led them for the remainder of her life. She had a husband and son, but her husband Gabriel was murdered mysteriously by the branch of Uz and her son Julius died in the pursuit of a hunt. She helped end the Demon Troubles in Tumult to great cost to her and her order of hunters. She later died fighting the King of Tumult, as his grave robbing and financial interference in the mostly annexed city of Draught pushed her over the edge. She died holding the hand of her husband's raised corpse, having not seen victory but having finally reunited with her love.

Personal history
Born to a family of wizards, Aleesia was groomed to follow their footsteps in the study of planar arts. But she rebelled against that familial demand, choosing rather to spend her time with local fey hunters. She became a proficient archer in that time, and grew quite adept in opposing monsters and magic all to the chagrin of her family.
In 814, she was an experienced fighter of many conflicts, having outlived several generations of the fey hunters she fought with. When the planar disaster occurred, it came to no surprise to her. Her family was partially involved in the experimental facility where the explosion occurred, so she believed she had a responsibility to clean it up. And her years of fighting prepared her for the task. She confronted the evil coming through the broken planar space and saw surprising victory. While she never was in positions of leadership in her elven youth, the disaster led her to found and lead the Dharkness Hunters, an organization devoted to defeating planar threats to Neih.
In the year 1007, she met Gabriel during one of her hunts abroad. He was hunting the same beast as it attacked his home town. His skill and gumption impressed the aged elf, and she convinced him to join the hunters. Years later, they would be married and have a son they called Julius who would follow in their footsteps.
In 1035, her husband was murdered. She dealt with the grief through her work. This neglect pushed her son away, sending him to Tumult where he would die in the pursuit of a hunt. Her family completely lost, she sought vengeance in finishing her son's hunt in force. She was victorious, but her guild was devastated by it. She returned home with no more purpose to distract her from her grief.
But new distractions did come. Once the Dormant were defeated in 1041, Tumult came in force to cleanse the region of Dormant stragglers. They all but annexed Draught in the name of this push back against the Dormant, and used the city, its people, and its resources to fight the Dormant retreating into the Western Fey Wilds. She did not mind at first (except for its overt use of the undead which irked her) seeing it as a temporary thing. But when 10 years passed with no end in sight, she finally had enough. Her and her guild joined with the Sovereign People's of Neih to oppose Tumult. Though her political stance was more economic and justice related, her ire was provoked when Bedrich had raised the corpse of her husband to serve him. This would not be tolerated, and Aleesia made this known to Bedrich, even if it cost her her life.
Employment
She was the first leader of a guild of hunters called the Dharkness Hunters. A hunter named Karmal would take that position after her death.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Repelled a powerful demon during the disaster of Draught. She has had many more successful hunts since, enough to make her hunters one of the top three hunting guilds in the Draught region. Her guild's renown spread moderately abroad, especially in Tumult where they helped finish the Demon Troubles. But this fame would die down with her death at the Battle with Bedrich, and her guild retreating back to Draught to regroup and rebuild. She is seen as a hero to the Sovereign Peoples of Neih.

Motivation
Her original goals aligned with that of the Dharkness Hunters, fighting planar threats to protect Neih, but some of her motives altered with the death of her family. She succeeded in avenging her son, though that did not fill the hole he left behind. She also hopes to find out who killed her husband. She would never learn of the Uz's plot that killed him, but she would keep her husband's corpse from being defiled by King Bedrich's aims.
