The Daughters of Verity fight alongside a force of Blood Angels led by Librarian Vance Alexander. As a result, Alicia Laertes is elevated to the rank of Palatine.

The Daughters of Verity fight alongside Blood Angels against a force of Khornate cultists. The Canoness is killed and Palatine Shania assumes military command. Alicia Laertes's first action as a novice; she carries Astartes geneseed in her flesh for several hours and resists Chaotic temptation, being forever marked with a psychic connection to Sanguinius. After the battle, the Palatine Council elects Shania the new Canoness. Alicia is elevated to the rank of full Sister and then Palatine by universal acclamation from the Order, and receives an Astartes power axe from Alexander.
