Sundering Mountains

The sundering mountains are by far the longest mountain range on the Land. It streches from the far north where ice covers the ground year round to the lands of the south were summer lasts forever. They hold of the great desert to the west from spreading out any further and also the demons from passing over them. Also the seperate the westlands and the eastlands. Little traffic comes and goes over the mountains as the passage is long and full of dangers and the roads are few and bad. Thus, civilisations quickly begin to develope very differently and by the end of the first Order, even their languages have grown apart.
