demonflies
Demonflies are a devilry of the great demonwar . They appear only during the night for just like demons they can´t stand the sunlight. Often they are spotted during sunset as a dark cloud moving fast.
They startet to appear a few years into the war and caused defeat in many a battle that otherwise might have been won. The swarms of flies would knew no bounds once it reached enemy lines. Small as they are they manage to craw under armour and into nose and ears. Their bites hurt at first and will scratch horribly for days often with big swellings of the skin and discolouring in some cases. On rare occasion severe deseases can come from such a bite. Most effecive however were the confusion they caused in the lines of their enemy. People would start hitting themselves and the air around blindly in the attempt to get rid of the flies, often hitting other fighters around them. It does take and extreme measure of selfcontrol to keep focused and remain unmoving during such an attack.
I took multiple years, until a way do repell them was found.
