Session 45: L O R E D U M P
General Summary
The Wandering Apocalypse make their way to the final remaining fane, dragging with them the body of Baba Lysaga. They cut out its swamp-water oozing heart and offer it up to the shrine. Nothing happens at first, but then light returns to Barovia, be it from the wrong side and at an alarmingly increasing speed. Day and night quickly follow eachother as they travel back in time for L O R E C U T S C E N E S.
Hundreds of years pass by before they are first treated to a vision of good old Strahd flooding the village, including them. Then time flows back another day, showing Marina accepting Strahd's proposal to leave together. Once more, time flows back to hundreds of years before, showing both Strahd and Baba Lysaga desecrating the fane.
Following this ordeal, the Wandering Apocalypse decide to quickly ditch the swamplands and head towards Vallaki before their ultimate showdown with the devil @strahd himself. It is here that they come face to face with friends, many of which they helped or who have helped them during their stay in @Barovia. They aren’t just here for meeting old friends however.
With a rousing speech, the party manages to invigor the hearts of the people of @vallaki, and lead by their burgomaster @blinsky, who was the sole person volunteered, they gather up their pitchforks and torches and set out towards the gates of @ravenlof. The @wandering apocalypse follows closely after, setting up camp before the gates to @ravenloft for perhaps the last time.
