Alven (of Alfheim)
Alven, or Elves, hail from the misty world of Alfheim. During the Aesir’s prime, the elves were their closest allies. Where the Dwarves gave the Aesir their technology the elves gave them their political power. At that time on Alfheim, trickery and corruption were very present in the Alven political structure, and they shared much of their tactics with the Aesir royalty. However, the day Odin took the throne the Elven Aesir alliance began to break down. The Aesir grip on Alfheim was near unbearble for many of the lower classes on Alfheim. While the elves could never see themselves participating in such an active rebellion as Loki led, they were not opposed to the idea of the Aesir falling. When Alfheim received word that giants had invaded Asgard, the elves quietly ignored the cries for help, and waited for the Aesir to fall. Since Ragnarök, the elves have desperately tried to replicate the resources and technology they relied on from the Aesir without much success. To worsen matters, civil war has broken out on Alfheim regarding the use of the Ethereal Worldsoul. The Ethereal Worldsoul grants all elves the ability to both create and see through illusions of many kinds, but also to peer into a different plane of existence. For ages, the Illusory Alliance has maintained control of the Worldsoul and used its influence to line their pockets and maintain a distant and cruel government. However, in recent years the commoner elves have begun a religious revival, led by Cathara the Blessed Eye. The Puresighted, as Cathara’s followers are known, have been leading a rebellion against the Illusory Alliance for 3 years now in order to win fair, just, and honest treatment from their government. The war has been long and dreary, and there is no end in sight. But now, with rumors of the Bi-frost having been activated again, both sides are hoping they can find hope for their cause on the other side.

Alven tend to be very mistrusting. They are often reserved and quiet, preferring to shy away from direct interaction. Your personal values will depend on which side of the war you sympathize with.
Average technological level
Alven has rudimentary levels of firearms, steam power, and minor communications arrays. Similar to Civil War Era technology.

Alven are tall and slender. They do have pointy ears, and have skin that is a pale greyish color. They often have long stringy hair, that comes in a very limited desaturated colors. Most elves have silvery white hair and grey colored eyes.
Perks: Access to the Ethereal Worldsoul. All elves are able to craft illusions from the time they are children. This gives them a variety of skills and advantages. +3 skill points to spend in either Deception, Persuasion, Stealth, Sleight of Hand, Intimidation, or any proficiency relevant to Illusions. You may split the points between skills. You also have advantage on Perception Checks against illusions.
