What if our world was collapsing in on itself and we had to leave quickly? How would we rebuild our society? In what way could we evolve? How would we organize ourselves? Would we act the same or would we learn from our losses?H
ere is a story of a different species with heightened emotions and strength. Through the eyes of this species, we see a pattern similar to our own. Power grabs and murder. War, assault, and slavery.
The story begins with the experiences of one alpha dragon whose abusive father cuts off his youth. Broken and wounded, he rebuilds and grows into who he truly is. On his journey in fulfilling his fate, he forms a powerful clan. The success of the clan results from the diverse powers and perspectives each character possesses. With every member of the clan sharing their experiences, the story grows into one of a band of rogues that are both powerful and unyielding. However, social injustices ultimately challenge the clan in the last throws of power. Will they have the strength to make the right choices? Will the Lord dragon of the clan have the fortitude to lead his group? With leadership comes sacrifices of heavy loss and grief. Will the clan be able to rise above their grief and do what is right?
If you were in his place, what would you do?
This dark fantasy comes with warnings of violence, eroticism, and morally grey and controversial subjects. Reader discretion is advised, 18+.
he story prompts readers to evaluate their own perceptions of their social environment.
What are our societies values and beliefs and how are they formed? Is there any logic behind our societal morals? What injustices do you close your eyes to?
With each plot development, the reader is presented with a quandrum of morality. What would the reader do, but more importanlty, what will the main characater do?
Besides prompting readers to think about their own moral values, some content is based on actual events in our own history. For example, some of the military strategies are based on successful (and unsuccessful) battles. Important historical cities inspire city and town layouts and significant structures. Real-world relics serve as an inspiration for both the world’s technology and its relics.

TAlpha Aranarc's First Claim
The ground thuds under Alpha Aranarc’s clawed feet as he lands, dropping a heavy, blood-soaked canvas bag on the ground to his left side. The cart venders duck for cover, while the legless beggar crawls behind some barrels. Adjusting back into his beta form, Aranarc cranes his neck in a long stretch as he shakes the last of his dragon magic off his body. He eyes the town centre, hungrily looking for the beta sherif, his eyes changing colour and adjusting as he scans the panicked crowd. He smells the fear and filth from all of them. Incapable of transforming themselves, the townfolk simply gawk at Aranarc’s transformation. “Where is your Sheriff?” Aranarc bellows.
his dark fantasy series will be set in another realm where a dragon species exists. Although there is magic, only certain members know how to wield it. The world functions through a strick set of social norms that have been created since the species arrived from Old Earth. These norms were formed in a desperate attempt to create order in the midst of a power struggle. Characters will face challenges that will ultimatly redistribute the balance of power. These challenges include battle scenes, war, espionage, physical and sexual assault, traffiking, abuse of power, consensual erotisicm, murder, etc.

Anxious murmurs spread across the crowd as the folk look at each other for assurance. “I have sent my son to fetch him.” An old man calmly calls out. “Hmph.” snarls Aranarc. From the town’s alleyway, Aranarc can hear the clatter and scrambling of the sherif and his beta soldiers as they rush to the town centre. A middle-aged man appears in the alleyway wearing black boots, fitted brown trousers and a metal chest plate over a dirty beige shirt. The outfit is suitable for close combat with a short sword, sheathed yet ready at hand. The man efficiently directs his soldiers around the town centre, showing experience and a quick eye. “I am Sheriff Agate. What brings you to our town, Alpha?”
olk rarely welcome dragons in small towns, as they are dangerous and unpredictable. They are predatory and territorial in nature and frequently compete. In the beginning, dragons had more power. However after several rebellions, the beta folk wrote a treaty that dragons could not hold positions of power. The treaty allowed beta men to rule regions and promote safe settlements for the beta folk.
A history lesson...
The 100 Years of Turmoil
During the first 100 years of the new realm, the folk fought each other for dominance and power. This resulted in a broken and dark period, where many lost their lives and decimating the population. Offsprings starved and mothers wept as fathers fought each other. Blame, hate, and prejudice blazed as many people lost their way and tried desperately to find answers. As power exchanged from one leader to another, new laws came into effect. The elite dragons that saved the folk were also powerful female omegas. Female dragons who could wield and master magic by siphoning power from their alphas. In the past, omegas were bringers of balance, but over time, the kingdoms held them responsible for any misfortune. As the power exchange shifted, the leaders took advantage of the shift in power and stripped the rights and freedoms of omegas under the guise of providing safety and peace. Leaders changed the narrative, created heroes and villains, and soon the alphas owned the once powerful omegas as property. The once mighty omegas were now a thing of the past. No longer valued for their strengths, leaders gave the omegas a new purpose. Of the omegas who remained, they lacked education and were often victims of manipulation and abuse. But what proceeded was peace. A peace the folk needed. Although the omegas suffered, the folk turned a blind eye. Stability was more important than the rights of a few, and sacrifices were to be expected in the early years. Slowly, the dwellers started farming and trading natural resources. They established a social hierarchy with a new order. Farmers harvested healthy crops and trade in lumber, precious jewels and natural resources thrived. All was good. Good to everyone except the omegas. But the fates felt the unbalanced and vowed to change the realm. The lapse of power no longer served a purpose for the realm and the suffering of the omegas became too much.
On the surface, the world is pleasent. The folk have carved a place for themselves in this new realm. But the reader only needs to scratch the surface to see that something is corrupt. As the story progresses, the surface begins to peel away. What we discover is pain and fear.

Aranarc’s eyes focus on the man’s face with a light curiosity. Then instantly, the interest is gone. Turning slightly, Aranarc scoops up the edge of the canvas bag with his hand, angling the sac opened. A rancid smell permeates the air as flies swoon out and around the bag. The folk take a step back in apprehension and disgust. “My name is Alpha Aranarc and I bring you the head of Alpha Moldavite!” With that, Aranarc tilts the sac over and a bloodied head rolls out and hits the ground with a bounce and a thud.
n the beginning, during the tumultuous years, a young alpha stole powerful magic from the giving goddess. This created an imbalance of power that corrupted the realm.
The realm is now in disarray, and it was up to a clan of powerful rogues to restore balance. However, before that, they must fight their own battles within themselves.
In a world where death is always a possibility, the alpha dragons must make difficult decisions and navigate through perilous scenarios to fulfill their destiny.
