NIGHTRACER, aka THUNDERBLAST
A shining star amongst her peers, Thunderblast is here to make a statement!
Junker of Iacon
The streets of Iacon are home to a multitude, castoffs, casteless, the unwanted and the junkers, and Nightracer is just one more of many. She doesn’t know where exactly she came from, as her memories prior to wandering about a ramshackle bunker deep in Iacon’s undercity are sketchy at best, but she knows she is not welcome in proper society. Withdrawn and passive, her days are spent looking for energon to stave off starvation and entertainment to stave off boredom, and the recent rise of the heroes has been the most interesting thing to ever happen to her. The other Junkers she usually hangs around are fellow younglings Bludgeon and Red Alert, usually mediating between the former’s sullen attitude and the latter’s anxiety, and their tired pseudo-guardian Terminus. After years of long practice, she’s become good at remaining unseen and shoplifting right under people’s sensors, and her size 2 racer frame gives her a quick getaway back into the undercity.
After picking up the Chimera Stone by chance, Nightracer discovers her hidden potential and upgrades into Thunderblast, an ostentatious scrapper named for her supernatural abilities. A rising star among her fellow Decepticons, she attacks anything she perceives as her enemy with both her words and her talons, especially when the other factions try to steal her spotlight. Her powers include total immunity to all forms of energy, passive reading of electrical signals including the systems of other people, a shamelessness in showing off like few others have, an infinite internal supply of power ready to be unleashed in any manner, and the ability to absorb and channel energy of any amount. Her larger-than-life presentation invites ire from her direct opposite Elita 3, and the two have a grudge that they settle over and over through violence.
