Union Peacekeepers

The Union peacekeepers act as the Union of Eleutheria's military police.

Tactics

Union peacekeepers are given a wide variety of missions, from working as security guards to military police, as riot control or as a frontier town sheriff. As for the tactics of the peacekeepers they have to be flexible and change depending on where and for what reason they are deployed. Usually, Union peacekeepers are used as security to keep order in high value or dangerous areas and usually peacekeepers specialize in non-lethal tactics and weapons.
In newly annexed areas or very rural areas Union peacekeepers units train local police forces and provide disaster relief and humanitarian assistance operations. In more hostile areas peacekeepers secure detainees, provide operation area security, force protection and protect non-combatants. However, most of their operations are working security of high value and dangerous areas in the Union.

Training

Union Peacekeepers primary purpose is to maintain law and order in Union held territory and are held to a high ethical standard to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.

Equipment

The equipment that peacekeepers will usually have will be a Union riot armor, taser baton, riot shield, gas mask and handcuffs.

Weaponry

Usually, Union peacekeepers specialize in non-lethal tactics and weapons.

Taser baton: A weapon that Peacekeepers usually carry. The taser baton is a police taser, if someone is hit with it there is not just the impact of the baton but also an electric shock that disrupts electro muscular control. After being hit by this someone will likely fall to the ground temporarily paralyzed.
tear gas grenade: To be used if the peacekeeper is working crowd control.

History

The peacekeepers were founded after the Union of Eleutheria's annex of Arkham city, they were originally another group known as the Watchdogs that was one of three factions that fought over the city. After the confluence groups of police, fire fighters, EMT's and national guards banded together to re-establish order in the city and began to call themselves the Watchdogs. The Watchdogs established themselves as a major power in the city and fought over territory until Misatonic annexed the city, together with the Bright society, the Paladins of Nimbis and Misatonic formed the new Union of Eleutheria. After becoming part of the Union, the Watchdogs reorganized into the Unions military police and started calling them self's the Peacekeepers.
