Demographics
The majority of the population is very poor and only live in the underground slum out of necessity as the Undergrounds is the only place that many people can afford to live in, and Bitter city is safer than the majority of the underground. The majority of the inhabitants of Bitter city are homeless or are vagrants who cannot find any were else to live in Arkham.
Infrastructure
The majority of Bitter city are long tunnels that the residents have made into a shanty town made of crudely built structures that people have made into homes. The streets of Bitter city are more just dimly lit through. Along with the crudely built structures that people live in many of the residents have made mushroom farms that feed many in the underground.
History
Bitter city was established by the forgotten, a gang of the city's homeless that banded together for protection against the many dangerous in the underground, especially from the tunnel hounds the primals that hunted and eat them.
Tourism
Bitter city doesn't get many visitors the few that it gets are mercenary exterminators who are in the underground searching for pest monsters to claim bounties on.
The only location that you may want to pay a visit to if you are in Bitter city is the Sewer Rat a small tavern that you may want to get a cheap drink of Leech juice that the bartender makes himself and is a combination of alcohol, sugar, tobacco oil and mushroom juice. The Sewer Rat also has a small quest bord that has jobs someone can do in the underground for a bit of cash.
