Eksus
Eksus is the god of technology and invention. He is the brother of Basus, the god of knowledge and learning. Any Dwarf or Gnome will be able to tell you the major part that Eksus played in the development of civilization.
After The Awakening Eksus was tasked with helping the new realms develop through invention and development. It was through his inspiration that the first invention was built, the wheel. After that, he brought buildings for shelter and weapons for protection. As the realms developed, each with their own architecture, it was the dwarves and the gnomes from the Light realm that loved his teachings the most. In turn, Eksus respected these races and was proud of their passion. Some say that it was Eksus that brought these races into the world, forging them with his great hammer.
In the bloody events leading up the The Divide, Eksus and Basus both were the ones that provided the knowledge to the people to build fortifications and craft magical defences. Up until that point there had been no major war and only minor convlicts within the realms. Eksus thought the war to be unnecesary, but knew full well what the shadow realm would do if they succeeded in getting control of all the elements of the realms. Eksus believed that magic, just like invention, is only a tool and it is the user of that tool that determines wether it be used for good or evil. He had been observing all the realms, watching what they do with the gifts he gave them, and to him the shadow realm had the most evil intentions. He watched as turned their inventions to dark purposes. He saw how they created torture devices and used their magic for power; and warned Dryara that they would do more of the same if given more magic. He respected that it was in their nature, but did not want his other followers to suffer for it.
Even though he remained with the Great Mother after The Divide, Eksus still helps many who have a passion for his principles and ask him for guidance, even those who practice Void magic. Just like in the times before The Divide, he respects the tools and loves those who would use his gift, whether it be for good or bad.
