The fey fungus listens and yearns to quiet the roar of feelings. Amniotic fluid swells as conflicting thoughts vie for dominance within its psychically conductive mycelium; Revenge. Greed. Fear. Love. Pain. Happiness. Wonder...
Overwhelmed, the fungus walled off those alien feelings and thoughts, hardening the outer skin of the sap that leaks from its exposed host wood. Over time, when a critical mass of consciousness is reached, that action of isolation and expulsion leads to the creation of a new life form; the humble Fey *WIP* .
The id pearls themselves can be anywhere from the size of a pea to the size of an ostrich egg, though much more transparent. Manifesting in a rainbow of colors, their matte, frosted skin glows with a faint inner light and warmth. They can form as a solitary id pearl or as a small bunch, though these are very rare.
Just after Humen *WIP* came to Lilienwelt *WIP* id pearls started forming and erupting at an alarming rate. In the Here and Now, id pearls are quite rare, but they do happen.
As id pearls grow in the presence of extreme thoughts or feelings, it is possible to 'reprogram' an id pearl with different thoughts or emotions.
