Shards

Flakes of Infinity

When the source exploded into uncountable pieces, each shard of this divine entity, became an entity in its own right. However much they varied in size they were all a fragment of the source, the original god. These shards became scattered around the void, but their power formed a bubble around them, the bigger the shard, the bigger the bubble, and within this bubble their world would be born. Some of these shards, like their parent, were simply cosmic forces acting more on instinct than a present will, and others became sentient deities actively interacting with and shaping their worlds.

Shapes and Sizes

These shards come on all different sizes, from the huge to the very small, and they can be classified based on those characteristics.
Type 1 Shard
These shards are large enough to house their own world, bu not big enough to contain full planets, they sometimes contain a dwarf planet or just a region of land.
Type 2 Shard
By far the most common shards are this size, they can hold between one planet to a single full solar system, or just multiple planets.
Type 3 Shard
These are much less common that the previous shards, they are capable of holding more than one solar systems, up to large clusters of solar systems.
Type 4 Shard
This is the largest shard type, which are capable of holding entire galaxies within them, big or small.
Micro Shards
These shards are not big enough to have their own world, so they may wonder the void, they may invade the world of another shard, or they may get together with other micro shards, their combined power now being strong enough to create a whole world, such a thing is called a shard union.
Split Shards
A shard might split off pieces of itself, this is called a spill shard, these shards may become independent entities, but are still inherently linked to their creator.

Known Shards

Yanu
Type 2 Shard
Yanu is a semi-sentient shard of just a single planet, however, he has also created a number of split shards, which he later banished, but due to the nature of split shards, they will forever try to get back into Yanu's world. He used to be more sentient, but now he slumbers, simply maintaining his world. and keeping his former servants at bay.
Zayne
Type 2 Shard
Zayne is a cosmic force and isn't sentient at all. his world consists of three mayor realms, which are worlds of their own, although intricately connected to each other.
O
Type 2 Shard
O is a sentient being, she actively interacts with some of her creations, and acts as their divine grandmother.
Scythaius
Type 2 Shard
Scythaius is dead, his corpse is being ridden by many invadors, micro shards preying on the weakness of other bigger shards.
Emina
Type 2 Shard
Emina is a sentient shard, and one of the most active of the known shards, she actively interacts with all her subjects, and gives them power based on willpower and determination, she rewards the strong and punishes the weak, this is her way of maintaining her world.
Velen
Shard Union
These are many micro shards, led by their biggest, Soreithra, who all activively contribute to their world and try to give their people a way of gaining their favor and in turn, their power.
Belael
Type 2 Shard
Belael is a cosmic force, who manifests himself as many different beings based on what the inhabitants of his world want, However all these versions of him have their own personality, their own powers, and they all want to become the biggest and strongest.
Myst
Type 1 Shard
Myst is a mildly sentient being, she doesn't actively shape her world, but has put in place ways for the beings in her world to thrive, with varying rates of succes.
