Vyselki
Vyselki, also known as Fenline on most foreign maps, is a floating village in the Lichen Marshes. The floating settlement is the only settlement in the Rustmarsh. Vyselki enables greater access to the economically important areas, and gives travellers a place to stay while traversing the Marshes. Most of the people living in the village are transitory, staying for a few days or weeks to gather what they need.
Architecture
The village is built using many different methods. The oldest houses are stilt homes, built upon the shallower parts of the marsh, and more recent construction is build on large log rafts felled in the nearby mire. Many of the transitory visitors shore their boat up to the rafts, and sleep on them. The homes themselves are simple. Poles are put down to frame the homes, and reed is woven to form the walls. Lichen is stuffed into any gaps to improve isolation and prevent drafts. The roofs are typically made of thatch or peat. The homes are cold and drafty, and there is high demand for furs and wool to keep warm.Production and Trade
Most of the permanent inhabitants of Vyselki are fishermen, but a few inhabitants make a living sifting the Rustmarsh for iron. They prod through the rust-stained patches of the marsh to find and collect iron-dense rocks that can be processed back on dry land. Vyselki has a small taverna to accomodate any travellers. The modest and unnamed taverna has gotten a reputation abroad for it's homely but exquisite cuisine. Many travelling merchants have tried in vain to hire the chefs themselves.Type | Village |

Great article! It immediately reminded me of this little fishing village Jang Hui in Avatar the Last Airbender. Sounds like a great place for adventurers to stay while exploring the marches! Keep up the good work! :D
I can see why! I kept thinking of this one village in Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, Pacifidlog, that I think most people skip entirely. I'd say there's a bit of a tonal shift from cute ocean village to undead-infested marsh village, but that's part of the fun. Thank you so much!
