Tinkerer Tibbit’s Tavern and Tankard

Written by Fred K.
It is obvious to any patron that Tinkerer Tibbit’s Tavern and Tankard is more than simply another establishment, it is an experience. Even the doors leading into the establishment are a precursor of what to expect. There are two sets of doors leading into the building. One plain old door that opens without issue. The other, is a set of two massive doors made out of solid steel. Worked into these steel doors is a puzzle that Tibbit themselves designed. Any patron able to solve the puzzle may enter through those doors, qualifying them for robust discount on Tibbit’s wears and services. However, Tibbit, being an industrious person, even by Gnome standards, changes this puzzle frequently.   The interior is an embodiment of Tibbits twin passions in life, Tinkering and Alchemy. The furniture is mostly made out of metal, though the seats have plush cushioning installed. The furniture is also adjustable to suit the various height needs of a mixed party - be they gnome or goliath. The beverages served at Tibbit’s aren’t poured into glasses, but instead come in vials of various shapes and sizes.   Tibbit also brews all of their drinks themselves, but fermenting things the old-fashioned way would be way too simple. The bar at Tibbit’s is dominated by a huge contraption that combines ingredients and through a bit of magic, alchemy, and ingenuity produces each drink on the spot. Each drink, therefore, is unique and it is impossible to order the exact same result twice - a selling point Tibbit is more than happy to point out. The food at Tibbit’s is similarly produced, but by a machine in the kitchen operated by one of Tibbit’s staff. As a side note, Tibbit will sometimes offer experimental drinks - after a patron signs a wavier, that is, freeing Tibbit from liability for any… unforeseen side effects.   Music is usually performed by a quartet of constructs, built by Tibbit of course, which all have various instruments incorporated into their designs. Suffice it to say that some of their performances are an acquired taste, the genre best described as... eclectic.
