The Kingdom of Dalriada is located in the northeastern portion of the island of Oileán Fiáin. This realm is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse population, and deep ties to the Fae realms. Dalriada holds a unique position among the five kingdoms of Oileán Fiáin as a large part of its territory is on two smaller neighboring islands, Eilean Skìth and Eilean Mòr.

Structure

At the pinnacle of the hierarchy stands the king, Rí Ardhan, who wields ultimate authority and governs the land with the aid of trusted advisors and councilors. The nobility, composed of prominent Fir Fáinne families, holds considerable power and influence, serving as regional lords and overseeing the administration of their respective territories.

Beneath the nobility are the serfs, who form the backbone of the kingdom's labor force. They work the land, tend to the needs of the nobles, and fulfill various duties assigned to them. The serfs are bound by hereditary ties to the land, passed down from generation to generation. Their lives are intricately intertwined with the estates and holdings of the nobility, ensuring the economic stability and prosperity of the kingdom.

The Dòbhran who live within the territory of Dalriada are not organized within the traditional structure. They reside in their rookeries and floes, protected by the Fae of the Deep Court, and maintain a relatively autonomous existence.

Demography and Population

Dalriada's population is predominantly composed of the Fir Fáinne, who consider themselves the native inhabitants and hold a sense of deep-rooted cultural pride. The Albannach, who form a significant portion of the population of the islands of Eilean Skìth and Eilean Mòr, are serfs tied to the land and serving the Fir Fáinne nobility. The Selkies reside in their rookeries and floes, protected by their association with the Sidhe of the Deep Court.
