Shogun of the Empire of Wamato
The current Shogun of the Empire of Wamato, Akizawa Taketsugu was appointed by Emperor Ariwara Akihito, father to the current Emperor. He had made it his mission to finally pacify or exterminate the Hoshimoto Utari, a campaign he has been waging for fifteen years without success. In the nine years since Emperor Ariwara Komachi has held the throne of Wamato, this continued failure has eroded the Shogun's position in the court, and many believe that the Emperor will replace the Shogun unless the situation can be brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
