Leon Walker (a.k.a. Tex)

Tex Walker, so named because he is literally from Galveston, Texas, on Terra, is an easygoing cat of all trades who is ready to roll with just about anything. Tex currently serves as the astrogator for the exploration vessel AFS Astral Voyager. He likes to play music and sing, which is a fun way to pass the time on the bridge during long jaunts across space at spelljamming speed –as he says, he likes to "jam while we jam." He does his best to keep the crew's morale high, and projects a generally jovial and laid-back personality... but in quiet moments of solitude, he's a conflicted man; he dearly misses his home but knows he could never bring himself to stay.

Personal history

Though he grew up on his family's ranch, Tex is a very seasoned spacer, having joined the United Solar Fleet at the age of eighteen during the Invasion War. After the war he worked as a pilot and astrogator for various ships, including one from a space towing firm and several from a cargo company, before making his way out of Terraspace and into the wild black yonder. Tex has been on the crew for several years now and is considered senior staff; he's also recently taken Vela on as an apprentice astrogator.

Leon "Tex" Walker is the rootin'est tootin'est space cat this side of the Midnight Sea, serving as the astrogator for the AFS [i]Astral Voyager[/i]. He is a veteran spacer, a talented musician, and a red-blooded Texan.
