Alsun Desert (Al-soon)

Much of the northern portion of Somaj is taken up by the sprawling Alsun desert, a sea of trackless dunes and sand. Oases provide occasional relief, and desert nomads have found ways both natural and magical to survive in the wastes. Both Human and halfling tribes are known to eek out a life amongst the sand, and can occasionally be hired to help others across. Stories always speak of lost cities, people, or ruins out in the desert, but few pursuing them ever find anything if they return at all.
