Addam City

The Capital of the The Imperial Republic of Addam , and home to the Imperial City of Addam, is the fittingly named Addam City. One of the largest cities in the Empire, the capital has never reached the size of industrial powerhouses like New Caliber , the Imperial line has seen to it. It is the home of a different sort of power, and the marble buildings and scultptures of the government center make this clear.

As the Capitol of the Imperial Republic, the city is the one place that falls completely within the authority of the Imperial Family. The position of Duke of the City has always been kept within the direct royal family, and customarily falls to the official heir, being seen as a test of their ability to effectively lead.

Districts

Callain Circle - The governmental center, with the three branches equidistant around a circular park. Around the circle are also important buildings such as the Imperial Archives, Museum, and the central offices. The park is home to a number of monuments to the Founders, and other patriotic figures.
The Embassies - The district to the east of Callain Circle is the traditional home for embassies of other nations. The style here can vary widely, with some choosing to embrace their national character, others choosing to blend in, and everything in between.
Cuthbert Hill - The name covers not only the hill that the First Imperial High Church of Thane sits on top of, but the surrounding area. The central offices and the Archbishop's Home can be found here, as well as one of the leading medical universities and centers in the world.
Eastbay - Between Callain Cirlce and the docks sprawls the lower class part of the capitol. Originally hoem to the dockworkers, servants, and other low income people to support the wealthy, this district get more impoverished and dangerous the closer one gets to the docks.

Architecture

The city is famed for the Marble construction that was favored by the first Emperor Addam, and the high columns and plantation style can be found in not only in every governmental structure, but many other businesses.
