Weeper's Pit

A world discovered in 2124 thru Earth, rediscovered after 2205 and inhabited in 2370 thru Izmat. The world of Weeper's Pit is worthless; its inhabitation came only as a precursor to the building of the Maker of Ways, which could not be built on any populated world. Even the Pit itself was controversial, being at the end of an existing doorway from Izmat, and so the project was moved to Discordia, a moon of the Pit.
