Entering the guard barracks, you see a small area with a desk and a man sitting at it. He is a tall Hayim man with blond hair and a narrow physique. Wearing a dark coloured tunic, he is hunched over his desk a little and he is writing something down. He tilts his head up from his desk and spooks himself a little, scooting backwards in his chair.
"I apologize for that; I didn't see you come in." he says with a sonorous voice, punctuating the end of his sentence a little. "I am the scribe for the Captain here. What can I do for you today?"

Personal history

Zayn's family were Hayim servitors to a noble Gratic family, and Zayn was instructed as he got older in how to help dress and care for his liege. The lady of the household, though, noticed his hardworking nature and love of learning and taught him to read and write, which allowed him to go into the civil service when he came of age. He has been assigned to the garrison in Plainér Town for the past two and a half years.

Zayn, due to his youth as a servant, is constantly looking out for his friends and strangers alike. It is mostly a religious thing for him, helping others, so he approaches it with an enthusiasm. He is very aware of the local laws and regulations, and he sometimes lets people slip through the cracks in the system when he finds the rulings unfair or unjust.
