23 - 2/12

After discussing plans with Morrigan, at the request of Priscilla the two decided to spend a brief bit of the evening meeting her. She put on the guise of being friendly, requesting that Morrigan use her combat to aid her in ridding an island of an extra planar threat to build a lighthouse. Unfortunately Morrigan knew she had more self-serving aspiration and dropped the guise, with Morrigan demanding she get the aid of a cleric to revive her friend Danta. She knew not exactly how she would achieve this, but agreed to the exchange.   Afterwards, Morrigan parted ways with Zelem and took care of some personal business that has yet to be revealed while Zelem went off to intimidate Thorar, Eliander Fireborns first choice for likely replacement as guard captain. Using a disguise, suggestion spell, intimidation and previously gained blackmail, Thorar the dwarf was threatened into obeying the mysterious shadowy person that threatened him. With their individual tasks completed, the two reconvened back at the Oweland estate to rest.   The next day Morrigan began by aiding her cousin Robin, who wished a recommendation to join the Stoneheart Mountain Trading Company. Aboard their ship docked in the harbor, the duo met the Sergeant Yacksa who listened to their tales of Robins prowess. She seemed content with what she heard, but decided to postpone her decision a few days and would get back to them.   Meanwhile, Zelem went to Eliander Fireborn who had summoned Valor Windsail to him. The imposing council member and captain of the guard told him that he would like to offer him future work and to start with a bit of a test. They had a prisoner by the name of Marlin Mallory who had been recently arrested, and Fireborn suspected he was working with someone important. Unfortunately he had been uncooperative, and felt that an outsider could garner better information. Zelem, as Valor, agreed and set off to the barracks to interrogate the prisoner.   Here he found the sullen Thorar who seemed a bit sunk in mood since the visit the night before, but the dwarf sergeant directed him to the prisoner. After casting charm person to ensure cooperation, the thief began to spill his information. He had worked with Ichard Bexley and learned that this was a middle-man to none other than Gellan Primewater himself, and had documents showing what illicit tasks Ichard had his gang do. Zelem also learned that one of the guard, though he knew not who, had been dealing with some gang out of the northern town of Gleamshore. He let slip that the evidence was still out there, and Zelem surmised it might have been near the warehouse he had been arrested at.   Content with this information, Zelem set off to see if he could find it, and knowing there was something to be found easily discovered a cache of papers hastily stuffed within a secret cavity in the back. With this information, he set off while pondering what to do with it.
