Queen Virdin
Queen Hayli Virdin is a raven haired fiery young woman. Her charisma is undeniable and she wears her pleasant femininity humbly, preferring to use her wit than her beauty. She has a great distaste for men who offer her no intellectual stimulation, and she is known for tossing out would-be suitors that cannot hold a competent conversation with her on matters of politics, or court.
Born Hayli Rybis (Gryffon) she is the surviving blood relative granddaughter to King Iejir Virdin. Her identity was uncovered by Llysander Garwin when she was a youth and he helped restore her name as Hayli Rybis Virdin when she was crowed at age 15 as the Ascendant Queen. She cast off her junior royal title and became full Queen of Damara on her 20th birthday.
She is served by a court made up of members of the Damaran noble families, courtiers, and other professional kingdom administrators. Her closest ally is a young Wizard named Zigfrayd who has a strong command over evocation magic. It is said that he lusts after his Queen, but she shows no interest. Since turning out Llysander and his Bloodstone Host on her 20th birthday her royal guard now consists primarily of young stud Knights who did not fight in the Second Bloodstone War but have plenty to prove.
