Welcome to the Bloodstone Lands

The moniker “Bloodstone Lands” refers to the region contained by the Great Glacier in the north and the extensive deserts of Impiltur to the south. The two primary kingdoms of the region are old and entrenched: Vaasa on the west north west side of Bloodstone Valley and Damara on the east south east side. The whole area encompasses more than 150,000 square miles in a roughly triangular shape, using the southern line of The Great Glacier as its northernmost boundary.   The name Bloodstone comes from the valley that sits between these two ancient countries. The word evokes memory of a blood stained history over the centuries as the nations of Damara and Vaasa have warred. It refers to the trove of valuable stones carefully extracted from the deep mines. It is the legacy of Dwarven citadels in decline as they toil away beneath the rock. It reminds the orc and goblinkind the cost of their endless savagery. It is the name used even in the moldy and moth-eaten secret scrolls of the nearby monasteries in Palischuk. No matter the origin, today the name Bloodstone means the city at the heart of the valley.   Yes yes, it is The City of Bloodstone in the chambers of the Damaran capital from which it is technically ruled, but those who live here and who are fated to die here, know better. When used in context, the name can mean the city proper, or the whole valley, and sometimes something else entirely (ask the locals). Now, it is time to tell the tales of mighty wills, horrifying evil, great magic, and armies of sword and shield. Though they will one day be lost to the enigmatic astral current of time, these are now.   Are you the hand that will write the lost chronicle of Bloodstone?
