Androma Garwin

The Lady Androma (Rolfe, LaCroix) Garwin.
LG Human Cavalier (deceased)
Androma Rolfe was born the night of 14 Kythorn during a celebration called the Hornmoot in the city of Helmsdale. The Dwarven Druid of Ironspur who delivered her declared that she had seen the girl's destiny and foretold that she would one day help Dwarfkind liberate a lost ancestral home.   Born to a least ranked noble of The Vast, and a peasant woman of northern Damara, her early childhood is full of sorrow as she endured her teenage years as a childbride. It ended as tragically as it had began, and she returned to Helmsdale to train in secret with the last Paladin of Bahamut after her first husband left her. Once she had earned her armor and completed her training as a Knight of Bahamut she set off to find her destiny, traveling for a year among the pirates of the Sea of Fallen Stars, and then arriving at Iron Fang Keep in the spring of 1361.   The meaning of her destiny became clear to her when she rescued Grothelbeez of the Clan of the Hammerhanded (and his friend Llysander Garwin) from certain death in their pitched battle with a legion of Zhengyi's undead at the site that would come to be known as Battlecross. It didn't take long for her to realize that Llysander was her soulmate and the two fell in love and were married shortly before their decent into the dreaded Mines of Bloodstone in the summer of 1362. Somewhere along the way, Androma picked up a strange Xvart companion simply called 'mmud'. The diminutive creature sacrificed his life to save Androma and in doing so revealed the purity of his little heart. After saving the creature from permanent death, she elevated him to the station of Page in Training, and declared that he would henceforth be known as Kniggit of Mmud.   Upon return from the Elemental Planes, Androma, Llysander, Grothelbeez, and Kniggit (along with others) successfully cleared out the upper regions of the lost Hall of the Hammerhanded. Their pitched battle with the 1/2 Dwarf Zozzel "Hammerhand" ended with a curse being set upon Androma, a curse that his death would follow her if she killed him. In rage Llysander struck down Zozzel and seeing no ill effect on Androma proceeded to kill the rest of the evil 1/2 Dwarf's retinue. The heroes knew that any victory here would be short lived unless Zhengyi was also destroyed and so they pushed on. Androma fought beside her husband and their friends on the slopes of the Tempest Cliffs killing Zhengyi in the autumn of 1365.   For the next three years Androma and Llysander were celebrated as epic heroes. As they tackled the daunting task of rebuilding Damara, Androma slowly became ill, a fact she hid from Llysander. But since her prowess in battle did not waver she was able to conceal her condition for a considerable time. Where Zhengyi's despots still ruled, she helped to bring liberation. Where there was despair, she brought hope. As the horrors of the occupation were slowly forgotten, the post war period visited only tragedy on Androma. She gave birth to a healthy son Lloydin in 1371 but strange complications during the delivery - possibly related to her ongoing sickness - led to her death a few weeks later. This marked the beginning of the end for Llysander Garwin.
