Mafelin Sanctuary
Named for the Primordial Embodiment of Blight & Grace; Malefis
Creation & Purpose
Mafelin Sanctuary was created with the help of an architectural aisleck as well as Malefis themself. Thought up by Infinity, the sanctuary is a place for the Inamorata's creatures to live happily and safely in their natural habitats. The Inamorata themselves often take care of the place with some help from other mortalis.
The sanctuary itself is a pocket dimension within Lumia, built to expand as necessary and make sure each creature has its needs met. Similar to a typical zoo, there are informational crystals dotted around the sanctuary, intended to educate and inspire visitors.
Tourism
Visitors may also wander the gift shop, where there are plenty of different items for purchase, or explore Boundless, which is linked by a large doorway. There are also a few different shops to try both Lyraen and Alatheian foods.

Sanctuary Exhibits
Adoption Center
Animals up for adoption include:
Crotis, Dogs, Cats, Aidnit, Snakes, Frogs, Spiders, Budgies, Bunnies, Foxes, and Dragonettes.
Familiars can often be found here as well, however, one does not adopt a familiar; instead, familiars may bond with a visitor. Familiars are a type of demon that may take on the form of another faunis.
The Nursery
The petting zoo is for those who may be nervous to meet some of the fully grown creatures. The creatures within the nursery are all quite relaxed and friendly. Each visitor also gets a protective crystal amulet that will keep them from having allergic reactions, should they have any allergies to certain animals.
Giftshop
The gift shop is full of trinkets and merchandise designed to bring happiness to visitors. Sometimes there are animal products such as bottles of dragon scales, that are collected without harm to creatures. Visitors can also buy books on their favorite creature, or snacks to feed the free-roam animals.
Aquarium
The Aquarium includes a few different attractions and is infinitely spacious for creatures that need it. Visitors are able to walk throughout the 'ocean' by way of tunnels.
Merfolx, kalithae, and other water-based mortalis work to take care of the ecosystem and its creatures. Some will do shows and performances for visitors.
Along with the aquarium ocean, there are also areas sectioned off for visitors to swim and play with different aquatic faunis. The aquarium makes up quite a large part of the sanctuary.
Ephemeral's Aviary
The aviary is home to the larger winged creatures and is much larger than a typical aviary. Falcons and aidnit are seen most commonly. Visitors are welcome to walk through it, explore, and interact with the creatures. Ephemeral and Pharaoh will often do bird shows as well to allow visitors one on one interactions with faunis.
Pharaoh's Budgie Maze
Along with the large aviary, Pharaoh also has her own smaller space specifically for her budgies. The space is divided into two sections; the majority of the area allows visitors to feed and pet the budgies, and off to the side is a maze designed for Pharaoh's favorite game, Budgie Tag.
Budgie Tag: Visitors must get through the maze before a cloud of budgies catches up with them. Prizes differ based on a timer, though everyone gets something even if they lose.
Mythic Pastures
The pastures are where Ariuk spends most of his time. He takes care of all types of horses, magical or not. Visitors may groom them, or go for a ride with Ariuk's supervision. Visitors may not mount a horse without Ariuk's explicit consent as rides are given in a specific area of the pastures, while the rest is a space for them to run free and relax.
The Free-Range Forests
There are two different forests within the sanctuary, divided based on common fears. For example, one is home to spiders, snakes, and vipals, while the other houses nivians, foxes, and other smaller, fluffier creatures.
The first also contains reptile rooms for the less social creatures, vipal rides for the braver visitors, and feeding shows for Messiah's larger than average spiders.
The second forest includes ponds and a few kaethai islands floating around. Although kaethai are considered a mortalis, they can also be fed by visitors. Kaethai love salt and leap at the chance to show visitors their tiny, intricately decorated nests.
