Session 35: The Wizard Returns Home

36th & 37th of Snowmelt

General Summary

After a long time underground in Am Galar, the party finally returns back to the surface, albeit in the tower of Knuc. Inside the tower, Knuc explains he made some changes to the leadership in the floats and is giving each party member a personal room as a reward for saving him, the decoration of which they can discuss with Alistar. After this, the party reminds Knuc of Little Dragon, who quickly rushes over to check on the little faerie dragon. This results in a rather lengthy set of games such as tag and 'the floor is lava'. Though the party certainly uses this time to relax a bit after a tense few days, they all one by one start feeling the exhaustion set in from their previous adventure as well. Thus the entire tower, including Knuc, finally gets a good night of rest in a comfortable bed.
The next day the group focusses on a few small personal errands, such as sending messages to various people through Alistar and speaking with Bolx. The party learns that the goblins have taken up residence in Tiana's old home, as well as that the goblins are now employed instead of enslaved. Felix learns some of the history of the old capital of the Golden Order. In the meantime, Leaf learns that the local animals have been spotting a larger amount of bones than usual in and around the forest. Their list of errands conclude when Kithalme arrives and discusses with them the state of Am Galar and what is going to happen next. As the city is still a dangerous place, the Tower Scholars will work with some dwarves from Mor Mardagh to slowly explore the city. In the meantime, the Arch Scholars will have a meeting on what to do next, mostly in regards to the portal the party found to the Upside Down. Kithalme promises to imform the party when he has another update, such that they can decide whether they want to be a part of whatever comes next.
In the meantime however, Knuc has his own small errand that he wants to LUKI Four to work on. He needs a special meteoric metal from near Dulwich, which is around 2 days of travel away. The party sees this as a perfect 'fetch quest' low level adventuring oppertunity, which sounds like music to their ears. Thus, they head northward towards the Astral Fields. Along the way, the group manages to find an unusual amount of undead creatures, and through speaking with a tree they learn that the skeletons have not been here for a long time. Combined with a two-headed three-legged crow that Felix keeps spotting, the group is a little on edge. Though they relax a bit once the group finds an abandoned Owlbear cave to spend the night, this relaxation gets blown away as the group comes to the realization that the strange crow creature has spotted them. As Felix goes out to investigate, he manages to sneak past most undead. However, an undead giant spots him, and gets ready to throw a rock right at him...
