Effect

The Spark is the force of magical energy in many, but still nowhere close to the majority of people. Attached directly to their soul, it shapes the way they are viewed in the spiritual plane and allows them access to certain schools of magic, depending on their own mental abilities and the strength of their spark.
The Spark is mostly hereditary. Two parents with strong sparks can expect a child with an equal even stronger spark. One parent having a significantly weaker spark than the other, or none at all, can result in a child with less of a spark, etc. There are however, outliers. Two magically adept parents may have a child with no spark at all. Two completely non magical parents may have a child with a spark, it may even be very powerful. There is seemingly no hard rules to the spark energy of a new life..
A strong spark may allow the user to use Spark Magic, which is powered exclusively by the caster themselves. Other's still may remove their own magical spark as a Blood Magic Ritual to wield significant spellpower for a short, final, time.
