Ezmerelda d'Avenir
Ezmerelda d'Avenir was born an Aldasan human to a tribe known as the Vistani in the Barovia region of The Feywild during the reign of the Vampire Lord Strahd von Zarovich. The vistani tribe had special ability to travel in and out of the mists at the edge of Barovia into the Feywild proper, and as such she traveled often. During her time she met a vampire hunter by the name of Otto van Richten. Knowing of the terrors of her homeland, she trained under him for years before he eventually abandoned her, in his mind for her own safety, to keep her out of the vampire hunting business.
She eventually followed him back to Barovia where, while looking for her old mentor, she ran across a group of adventurers that she traveled with. Due to the machinations of Strahd, her mentor was turned into a vampire and ended up killing her. Due to the strange effects of souls being trapped in Barovia, the adventurers were able to reincarnate her soul into a Tiefling body.
After the battle with Strahd and the manifestation of the Deep, van Richten's death, and the unsealing of Barovia; she started traveling the world working to understand the mysteries of the outer realms and Ephemera with her newfound ally and partner Kagrin Vlatson.
She was kidnapped with Kagrin during The Nothing War and assisted The Saviors of the World in stoping Athrun.
