Anna Blackfist

Anna Blackfist was born in the Sapphire Isles as the second child of Jarl of Lord's Isle Halmar Blackfist. Always a curious upstart her and her brother William would often find themselves in trouble in the stuffy castle, though while her brother would be punished for all of the "classic" isles antics of fighting and breaking stuff; Anna would find herself too openly questioning many of the antiquated ways of her elders. This eventually led her to studying magic far more than is normally seen in a warrior-based culture and establishing solutions to problems never thought of before.   When she met the Ascended Heroes on Fyke isle she was in the midst of discovering how to banish a Hym haunting the island's Jarl Bromjur Sheridan. Her and the heroes became fast friends to the point that when they returned a few years later, they teamed up to investigate the sabotage of the Jarl's moot and as respected people among the Jarls their support behind Anna's claim to the Lord's throne she was able to be elected the first female Lord of the Isles, a rule in which she was closely advised by her contemporary Adam Faera.   During her leadership the Isles saw a magical renaissance with many advancements the world over starting under her rule. Her rule was prosperous, though some of her critics have pointed to her friendship with the mercenary Whisper as a way that she kept the more violent detractors in line outside the law. She was a major supporter in readying the Voyagers for their expedition beyond the waters of Loredas and personally saw to the survivors who returned to ensure their safety and comfort for the rest of their lives. After she stepped down from her seat as the Lord of the Isles, she continued to advise her replacement Calem Valthiem.    During the last years of her life she secretly employed Maximilian Caelos V's Killers to find the soul of her former mentor Adam Faera (as her old friends, the Ascended Heroes, had tipped her off that his soul had not entered the Aether). Upon finding that her suspicion of Maximilian Caelos V was correct, she instructed them to kill him and free Faera which led to the Arcadian Revolt. Satisfied with her efforts she finally passed on within a year leaving her son and grandson to carry on the Blackfist clan.
