The Solborn speak the same dialect as the Ironborn, the clearest and most precise form of Common. Some of the people that live near the Hellscape can speak Draconian as well.

After the destruction of their ancient homeland, the Solborn people were forced to come together and create bonds stronger than steel. Anyone can expect the Solborn to very nearly bend over backwards to help in times of crisis. The Solborn stand as one in the face of evil, it would be unthinkable to turn one's back on a brother.
Common Etiquette rules
Solborn great each other by clashing forearms. Because of this, the Solborn have very thick forearm skin. It is also customary to bless those with whom you have no quarrel. This greeting and parting is usually along the lines of; "May the sun shine on your path."
Common Dress code
This depends heavily on region. In the cities, the Solborn wear clothing that would be considered scandalous in some other kingdoms. Because of their inborn resistance to heat and cold, clothing is completely based on style and can change drastically for seemingly no reason. Black and orange are commonly in style, with white and electric blue occasionally being hip. Floppy and flowing garments are also extremely popular.
Art & Architecture
Tales of legendary feats are common sights in the cities, which are often built of lava stone from Mount Shatter. smaller villages are made primarily of wood.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
The founding of Dawnbreak and the new age is celebrated on the first week of each new year. Most villages also host festivals at harvest season, which is when the most travel across the kingdom takes place.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
Babies are literally baptized in fire, a ritual performed to maintain the natural resistance the Solborn have to fire.
Coming of Age Rites
Upon coming of age, the Solborn are expected to take up a trade and usually start looking for a spouse. There are quite a few fights during this time.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Memorials are never constructed by the Solborn. Instead, they commemorate their heroes to legend and pass down the stories from one generation to the next. Bodies are cremated in ceremonial bonfires, some say the souls of the fallen can be seen for a moment in the flames of death.

Betrayal of any form is considered the height of dishonor. The only thing worse, is the desecration of the deeds of a legend.

Beauty Ideals
The unique orange eyes of the Solborn are considered an incredible trait to be blessed with. Muscular physique in both men and women is also highly sought after, as is the gentle orange tint that sometimes manifests in the normally pale skin of the Solborn.
Gender Ideals
Men are the protectors of the world at large, while women are the protectors of the homeland. It is expected for women to bear many children and expand the fighting capacity of the nation. Men and women share equal political power in theory, but women have more power in practice as the men are usually away fighting the Shadow.
Courtship Ideals
Men and women are expected to prove to each other their worth as warriors before pursuing a relationship. They must be equals, or they could never truly be companions.

Husband and wife should be like the sword and the shield, neither can stand without the other. Children are encouraged to learn, grow and challenge. Both father and mother should expect to need to demonstrate their right to lead by might alone.
