The Dave Theory is an ever-growing collection of conspiracies, speculations, and outright madness surrounding Dave, the most average, unremarkable man in The Last Home—who also happens to be the most unsettling mystery in existence.

The Conspiracy Club exists solely to unravel the mystery of Dave. It has rules, theories, and far too much enthusiasm, yet no actual answers.

The Conspiracy Club (A Society of Obsession & Madness)

• First Rule: "Nobody talks about Conspiracy Club."
• In reality, they absolutely do. Constantly.
• They insist that they don’t, but everyone knows about it.
• Membership:
• You don’t join Conspiracy Club. One day, you’ll be pulled into a conversation, and suddenly you’re a member.
• Members are a mix of eccentric scholars, adventurers, and inn regulars who have spent far too much time thinking about Dave.
• Some are dead serious, others are in it for the laughs, but all are deeply invested in ‘the truth.’
• Secret Meetings:
• They meet in a room filled with red string maps, scattered journals, and frantic theories.
• Theories range from reasonable speculation to outright madness.
• Primary Focus:
• Figuring out what Dave is. (Spoiler: No progress has been made.)
• Tracking strange occurrences surrounding him.
• Debating what would happen if Dave ever spilled his drink. (This is a subject of intense debate and fear.)
• *Occasionally investigating other weird happenings in the inn, but it always comes back to Dave.
• The Lars Factor:
• Lars laughs every time he hears them whispering but refuses to say anything.
• This fuels their paranoia significantly.

The Core of the Dave Theory (What People Believe)

• "Dave was the first patron." – Some claim he was here before the inn even existed, meaning The Last Home formed around him.
• "Dave is the Creator." – A disturbing number of people genuinely believe Dave made the inn, the world, or reality itself, then forgot.
• "Dave is a fixed point in time." – Scholars theorise that he is the only truly unchanging thing in existence. If everything were to collapse, Dave would still be here, drinking his usual drink, perfectly fine.
• "The Inn protects him." – No one has ever seen him in danger, and traps, violence, or accidents simply refuse to affect him.

The Signs That Something Is Wrong (Unexplainable Dave Incidents)

• Dave has never spilled his drink. Ever.
• This is one of the biggest fears of the Conspiracy Club.
• What happens if Dave ever spills his drink?
• Theories range from:
• Reality collapsing.
• The Last Home ceasing to exist.
• The end of all things, everywhere.
• No one is willing to test this.
• Dave never pays for anything.
• He always puts things on his tab… yet his tab is always paid.

• Dave does not own anything.
• He never buys things, never changes clothes, and never carries anything of value.
• Yet he never lacks for what he needs.
• No one remembers when Dave arrived.
• People who try to trace his presence in history come up blank.
• Yet there are mentions of him in journals dating back centuries.
• Divination spells return… strange results.
• Those who attempt magic to discern his origins get answers that make no sense or drive them to stop asking questions altogether.

The Old Man’s Visit (The Moment That Changed Everything)

• One day, a hooded old man entered the inn.
• He walked up to Lars, asked “Is it safe?”, received the answer “Yes, old man, it’s safe.”, and left.
• As he walked past Dave, he nodded and casually said, “Alright, Dave.”
• The entire inn fell silent.
• No one knows who the old man was. No one has ever seen him again.

The Theories (From Wild to Insane)

1. Dave is the Inn. – The Last Home exists because Dave exists.
2. Dave is older than reality. – He was here before anything else and simply forgot his true nature.
3. Dave is the inn’s anchor. – If Dave were to leave or disappear, The Last Home would vanish instantly.
4. Lars knows the truth. – Lars laughs too much whenever Dave is mentioned. He knows something, but isn’t telling.
5. Dave is the final failsafe. – If something ever breaks the rules of The Last Home, Dave will… do something. No one knows what.

Final Thoughts

The Conspiracy Club continues its endless pursuit of the truth.

Dave continues to sip his drink, blissfully unaware—or perhaps uncaring—of the storm of speculation around him.

And perhaps, some things are best left unknown.
