Appearance & Presence

  • Impossibly still. Every motion is intentional.
  • Wine-red hair, long and flawlessly kept.
  • Scarlet eyes, always half-lidded—as if she’s watching or waiting, or both.
  • Pale, flawless skin, untouched by battle despite a history of bloodshed. Not due to magic—simply because nothing dares scar her.
  • Wears the maid uniform like a warning— perfectly arranged, pristine, too precise to be casual.
  • Does not enter rooms— is simply already there.
  • People forget when she arrived. They never forget she was there.
  • Her beauty is not seductive— it is clinical. Designed. A trap with no bait.
  • She does not announce herself. She simply ensures you don’t need to be told she’s present.

Species & Condition

Infernal Heritage (Succubus Taint, Unconfirmed Lineage)

  • Lilith carries undeniable infernal blood, most likely of succubus origin—though whether it was inherited, forced upon her through ritual, or born from something older is unknown.
  • Her presence causes discomfort, not attraction—a slow, creeping wrongness that gnaws at intuition.
  • Her body does not scar. Her aura is hard to read. Even magic treats her with caution.
  • She is not undead, not fully mortal, and not entirely natural.
  • She is what happens when something infernal is honed into precision instead of passion.

Personal History

  • Once an elite assassin—origin unknown.
  • Targeted Lars during his final days as a Hero.
  • Tracked him for weeks. Prepared the perfect moment.
  • When it came—she couldn’t strike. Not wouldn’t. She physically could not.
  • Something broke. Or changed. Or remembered.
  • Instead of fleeing, she followed. Without speaking.
  • Lars turned. Sighed. Let her come.
  • She never left. Never explained. Never returned to her order.
  • The Maids accepted her without discussion.
  • The Inn allowed her in.
  • She became a fixture—not by permission, but inevitability.
  • She was a Maid before there was a title.

Relationship with Lars

  • Her chosen anchor. The one being she placed above her programming.
  • She is not his servant. She is his shadow.
  • He never commands her. She never asks permission.
  • He has never tried to send her away—because it would be pointless.
  • She protects him as a matter of instinct, not affection.
  • She would die for him. She would kill for him.
  • But most terrifyingly—she would stay for him. Even if he didn’t want her to.

Relationship with Tess Nightvale

  • Tess unsettles her— not through power, but kindness.
  • Lilith doesn’t understand being accepted without function.
  • Tess never pushes her. Never questions her.
  • Lilith cannot define the feeling Tess evokes, but she never avoids it.
  • She will guard Tess with the same devotion she gives Lars—though she will never admit it.

Relationship with Seraphis Nightvale

  • A silent understanding. Seraphis sees what Lilith is—and what she could become.
  • They rarely speak. They don’t need to.
  • Lilith never enters the Library uninvited.
  • Seraphis never questions when Lilith vanishes for days at a time.
  • If Seraphis is the memory of the Inn, Lilith is its reflex.

Relationship with the Maids

  • Freya: Mutual respect. Silent alignment. They will never be close—but they are perfectly in sync when it matters.
  • Carmella: Exhausting. Loud. Borderline delusional. Lilith finds her dramatic tendencies both baffling and tedious—but tolerates her presence without hostility.
  • Marie: The closest thing Lilith has to a mirror. She sees too much of herself in Marie’s silence and shadows. Lilith will never say it aloud—but she is watching. Always.
  • Rika: Anomaly. Chaos given form. Lilith cannot predict her, control her, or ignore her. Their mutual bafflement is, paradoxically, their bond.
  • Sylvie: Sylvie watches her. Lilith watches back. Neither has spoken of it. Neither ever will.

The Pact with Lars

  • Not verbal. Not magical. Not mutual.
  • She decided. He accepted.
  • That was enough.

Role at the Inn

  • Silent deterrent.
  • Enforcer of the unspoken rules.
  • Prevents problems before anyone else knows they exist.
  • Appears when needed. Leaves without a sound.
  • If she is watching, something is already wrong.

Combat & Perception

  • Assassin-trained. Emotionless efficiency.
  • Knows where every person is. Always.
  • Never visibly armed—because she doesn’t need to be.
  • Does not give warnings. Does not give mercy.
  • Fights only when necessary—but when she does, it ends quickly.

Emotional Profile

  • Possessive to a dangerous degree.
  • Emotionally repressed. Attachment is absolute or nonexistent.
  • Loyal beyond sense or reason. Once chosen, never abandoned.
  • Speaks rarely. Acts immediately.
  • She will not beg to be kept. She simply will not leave.

Keepsake

  • Lilith keeps the cloak Lars wore the day she was sent to kill him.
  • She has never worn it. Never washed it. Never moved it.
  • It is not sentimentality.
  • It is a shrine to the moment her life was rewritten.

Unspoken Understanding

  • She knows Lars never told anyone the full story.
  • She knows what it means to find purpose after you were meant to be discarded.
  • She does not care if she is trusted.
  • She is already his. And now, the Inn is hers too.

Lilith

Character Inspirations – Before vs. After

Originally, her character references included, i have made notes on what changed.

  • Yuno Gasai (Future Diary) – While Yuno’s obsessive loyalty was a starting point, Lilith was never meant to be emotionally unstable. She is cold, calculating, and in control. Yuno was cut from the inspiration list because she was too volatile.
  • Akame (Akame ga Kill) – Akame’s silent, precision-focused deadliness still fits. Lilith remains an assassin at heart, and her ability to kill without hesitation or remorse was one of the few things that never changed.
  • Homura Akemi (Madoka Magica) – Homura’s controlled obsession became a much stronger influence as Lilith’s personality developed. Her loyalty is absolute, her emotions are buried, and her actions are dictated by a decision she made long ago.
  • Yuki Nagato (Haruhi Suzumiya) – Yuki’s detached, ever-present nature remained a core part of Lilith. She is always there, always watching, always ensuring things go as they should—without ever seeking attention for it.
  • Rei Ayanami (Evangelion) – Initially considered due to her inhuman detachment, but Lilith is not emotionless—just repressed. She feels, she chooses, and she acts on it. Rei was removed as a reference because she was too passive.
