Pelonyseus

Pelonyseus once used to be a talented musician. He played wonderful tunes that even the god Apollo would listen to in awe. Unfortunately, a day came when the music he played no longer sounded beautiful to Pelonyseus. Never having found his muse and no longer being moved by the songs he made, Pelonyseus fell into a deep despair, until one day his sadness killed him. Taking pity on Pelonyseus, Apollo made a deal with Hades to rescue the musician from the underworld. Apollo gave Pelonyseus a new home and function as arbiter of one of the sacred towers. Pelonyseus would live out the rest of the tower's existence among beautiful nature, surrounded by kind nymphs and the ability to wrap the space that became his home with the tunes of his plays. For a long time, Pelonyseus derived joy of these things, like he had in his younger days, but when the gods abandoned Ifradyl and with it The Ancient Tower, the joy that Pelonyseus felt faded once again. He now spends his days in boredom and misery, desperately looking for a way to feel again.

Personality

Pelonyseus is in a constant state of melancholy. His sadness has taken over his mannerisms and his speech, which come across as a mixture of complete boredom, disinterest, and depression. Regardless, Pelonyseus used to be a kind man who did not mind helping people, a fraction of this characteristic can still be found. He does not object to answering questions, but will certainly not go out of his way to do something for another. He will provide the information that is requested, answering the question to its fullest, but will not add additional notes which may be good to know. One of the few things that still moves the man is the prospect of an unknown, beautiful story. As a result, he could be swayed if he was ever told one.

Abilities

As the arbiter of the ancient tower, Pelonyseus has the ability to transport creatures to various locations within the tower, however, there are limitations to this. Pelonyseus is able to move creatures from any place within the Ancient Tower Core to the edge of its Basin or Chapiter. Additionally, it is only possible to reach to space in which Zenera is imprisoned on the behest of Pelonyseus. The man can also shape the tower's core in order to keep it stable. He has done so in the past by petrifying many of the creatures on the Isle of Pan. Additionally, creatures that have resided in the core for long enough can be recalled to it by Pelonyseus. He cannot, however, activate or deactivate the tower.     Pelonyseus is incredibly skilled in playing the harp, singing hums, and composing poetry.
