Continent of Ifradyl

Ifradyl is a large continent consisting of vast plains at its center. The continent features many different terrains such as dense jungles, rocky highlands and mountain ranges, and the occasional desert. Ifradyl is surrounded by ocean on three sides, with the continent of Terramera to the north. 
Ifradyl is also called the stained continent. This name refers to the wasteland that spans a good part of the continent's southern mass, known as The Ashlands. This land is said to be the home of demon kind. As such, the terrain is corrupted and completely uninhabitable. It is truly one of the most dreadful places in the world.
The far western part of the empire is blocked off by an almost impassable mountain range known as the Great Western Mountain Range. Beyond it lay a plethora of small isolated kingdoms ruled by humans, elves, and tieflings. Due to the mountains blocking of access to the western part of the continent, these kingdoms have almost an exclusive monopoly to the western coast.
The continent is home to many different species, ranging from elves to dwarves to tabaxi and many more. There are two great nations established on the continent, not counting the western kingdoms. There is the Palamos empire in the north of the continent and the Argonian Empire that rules the vast majority of the continent. Ever since the two empires' borders met, there's been a conflict between the two. Luckily for most involved, this conflict has remained passive, containing itself to small skirmishes between local military units.
