Marka Va'ok
Queen Marka Va'ok (a.k.a. 'the foreign')
Marka Va'ok, firstborn daughter of Keol Va'ok was born in 835 VK on the Isle of Wanilo of the Kingdom of Ta'ram. She is part of the A'oni people.
She married exile King King Vannon Alessia of Varenya in 860 and led an army west into Kovus the same year, to reclaim his Kingdom.
During the War she commanded her own host and led her fleet from her flagship Ba'Tuk var Ma'oktu.
She died childless in 873, at the age of 38 causing her husband to launch another war, to deal with his grief. This war has since been called The Dreamers War.Mental characteristics
Personal history
Marka grew up in her fathers estate, years before he became the Great Honu of the A'oni.
She was groomed for command on land and sea early in her life, as is custom in the Immen Isles.
She absolved the A'oni ritual of adulthood, the Kopelohu at age 11, and became the pride of her house.
When she was 25 she met the King-in-Exile Vannon Alessia and the two fell in love. She convinced Vannon to try to take back his kingdom and offered the support of her house and her hand in marriage. The two married in 860 and went to war only a fortnight later.
After retaking her husbands Kingdom, she advised him in his many wars and ruled the Kingdom (very successfully) in his absence.
She died childless in 873, at the age of 38 causing her husband to launch another war, to deal with his grief.
She is remembered fondly by many people in Varnera and Ardyre for the part she played in the life of King Vannon and the history of Varenya.

She was groomed for command on land and sea, taught maths, languages and everything else a ruler has to know.

She led the forces of Ta'ram into war against the three kings.
During the war she took the cities of Crownhaven Graywater.
She also took part greatly in the following wars of King Vannon.
