Personal history
Aldhelm joined the Solares at a young age, both because he was sure he wouldn't inherit anything being the 6th son of a huntsman and to do battle with the nasty monsters in the forest his father always told him tales of. Aldhelm showed little ability at first and his years squiring for other members of the order were harsh and unforgiving. He was however well prepared and participated in many expeditions to keep the wilds of Karpash in check. It was during one of these raids when a renegade golem took out the previous Grandmaster. Aldhelm was the most senior knight still of suitable combat age and was given the position.
7 years later he would lead the order during the Davidian Island Assailment where he would do frequent battle with Yoruko and Suzume, the Black Wind and Green Sparrow company leaders. It would be during a trap set to capture Yoruko that he would nearly meet his end, being poisoned by one of Yoruko's blades. Archmage Remon, a close associate of his gave twisted interpretations of The Nameless King's scripture and convinced Aldhelm to accept undeath.
From this point on Aldhelm served to bolster Remon's power and to full realize his destructive interpretation of The Nameless King's message. He increased raids into Karpash incidentally aiding the rise of his regional rival Golbun. He then fought against Golbun to protect Blackmires western border while providing little aid to Mika, Sora, and Maria. This was less out of loyalty than an attempt to corner Golbun for Remon's aims, a plot foiled by the trio of heroines.
He then fought alongside Remon in his attempted conquest of Cascade before being struck down by Sora with the aid of The Nameless King, the failures of his doctrine being revealed to him in his final moments.
